Interstate / Long Distance Driver (NY)
The Company
Atelier 4 Inc, known as the leaders in fine art logistics for 35 years in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Charlotte NC seeks an energetic person to fill the role of Interstate / Long Distance Driver (headquarters office: New York). Atelier 4 Inc has always set itself apart from other logistic carriers with our innovative & highest quality of service. We are seeking a safety-minded Interstate / Long Distance Driver (CDL not required) for full-time employment to be a key contributor in assuring our services meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.
Truck Driver Responsibilities
· Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.
· Load and unload cargo, packing and handling artwork.
· Record cargo deliveries
· Refuel and maintain clean vehicle (fleet is fueled & serviced by Ryder)
· Report road incidents to the dispatcher and follow traffic laws.
· Inspect trucks and record issues and maintain an activities / hour’s log via ELD
· Follow accident reporting procedures.
· Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
· Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
· Keep driver license & medical card up to date and maintain a safe driving record at all times.
Qualifications
· Two years truck driving experience and a clean safety record & MVR
· No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven-year, insurance requirement
· Minimum of high school degree or equivalent; minimum 21 years of age
· Knowledge of cargo securement, safe handling practices, and experience with fragile cargo is a plus.
· Dependable, presentable and legible handwriting; ability to work a as team driver.
· Good listening and verbal communication skills

Regular and predictable attendance
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as part of the daily activity.
Ability to work extended periods of standing, bending, lifting and/or driving.
Drug Free environment / safe work environment
Full –time work – not GIG work.
Pay & Benefits
· Salary: Drivers are paid a day-rate ranging from $225.00to $275.00 DOE(no unsafe rushing to earn pay-miles)
· Trips generally last about 21 days depending on route and one week off (flexible scheduling)
· Drivers operate in teams: bring your own partner, or match with one of our current companies drivers
· Lodging and food per-diem is provided by the company.
· Company benefits Include: medical, dental and vision coverage and 401(k) plan after eligibility period.
· Drivers are provided with company credit card for misc. over the road expenses.
· Employee parking is provided for driver’s cars safe keeping while on the road.
· Travel stipend for drivers reporting to NY for trip commencement is available.

Experienced Crate Builder / Custom Crating (NY)

Job duties
· Measure, cut, assemble wood crates, packing cases, and customized containers
· Follow written plans and building instructions assuring quality in construction & assembly
· Cut & shape interior foams, packing trays, receive training in placement of artwork
· Clean equipment, tools, and shop areas to maintain orderly & safe operation
· Compliance with general safety & OSHA regulations
Qualifications
· 2 years plus in crating and carpentry work experience including understanding basic carpentry techniques using saws (table & chop), routers, pneumatic nail and staple guns, lamination, glue application and various power and hand held tools.
· Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
· Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
· On time and deadline oriented
· Knowledge of fragile goods handling or foam-fit packing is a plus
· Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
· Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment

Job duties
• Local driving, 18 and 26 foot box trucks (CDL is NOT required). Clean safety record & MVR
• Safe movement of artwork to and from Atelier 4 vehicles
• Prepare, warehouse and ship artwork
• Transport, install/display and store art collections
• Load & secure art/cargo. Assist with wrapping & packing
• Client –facing / Positive client interactions and customer engagement

Qualifications
· 1+ year of truck driving experience (local); with art-shipper, gallery, collections management, museum handling, studio assist, or similar work environment.
